DJI Hasselblad is a supplier of drones and creator equipment in the UK, serving both consumers and businesses across industries such as construction, public safety and creative production. We spoke with Tom Peet, Head of Ecommerce, about how they use iwocaPay to give customers more flexibility when paying for orders.

When customers asked for payment terms, DJI Hasselblad had a way to say yes

DJI Hasselblad’s trade customers were asking for payment terms when buying drones and equipment that can represent a significant cost. Especially for smaller businesses, spreading the cost can make it easier to fit a larger purchase into their budget.

With different customers having different purchasing needs, the business wanted to offer more flexibility without making its payment process more complicated.

“Previously, customers had asked for 30-day terms. Now we can offer that with iwocaPay, whereas before we may have lost that business because we didn’t offer credit terms.” – Tom Peet, Head of Ecommerce at DJI Hasselblad

With iwocaPay, trade customers can choose to pay in 1, 3, or 12 monthly instalments. The business gets paid upfront either way, giving customers more choice without adding any admin or risk that comes with offering credit directly.

Customers now have more purchasing power, making it easier to complete larger orders

iwocaPay gives approved trade customers up to £30,000 to spend, increasing their purchasing power. For DJI Hasselblad, this means the sales team can see how much each customer has available to spend and continue conversations that may have otherwise been held back by the upfront cost.

iwocaPay easily fits into the way DJI Hasselblad already sells

iwocaPay integrates with Shopify and other ecommerce and accounting software, so it was added easily to DJI Hasselblad’s existing online checkout. It also works for orders made through the sales team, who can simply send customers a payment link to complete their order. This means DJI Hasselblad can offer payment terms consistently, whether a customer buys online or through a conversation with the sales team.

“We saw customers purchasing through iwocaPay as soon as it was turned on. It’s easy to use, especially on the ecommerce side. The integration with Shopify was also easy to set up.”

See what's been paid and what customers can spend, all in one place

It’s just as simple to manage after the purchase. iwocaPay’s dashboard gives DJI Hasselblad complete visibility over orders and payments.

“The whole process is a lot simpler – we send customers a payment link, they pay through iwocaPay and we can see it's paid. The iwocaPay dashboard is really user friendly in terms of seeing what orders are paid and what customers have in available credit.”

With payments, orders and available credit all visible in one place, the team can easily keep track of what’s been paid and what each customer can spend. This gives the sales team a way to help customers complete larger purchases, while keeping the payment process simple for the business.
